This magazine’s main purpose is to showcase all the trends founded or inspired within the year passing. The magazine’s name is MUSE, this is to symbolize how the magazine is someone’s inspiration for aesthetic purposes or goals with social media.

Challenge
The objective of this project was to create an editorial design layout for a fictional magazine of your choosing. For this project, by exploring the importance of historical and contemporary editorial design.
Results
The imagery used was dictated by the trends of the year. Since the main purpose of the magazine is to display the types of trends throughout the year, the imagery was used to enhance the overall expressive nature of the layout. This goes in hand with the hierarchy and spacing.
The layout of each page was done by going over geometric rules and overlaying. The concept of overlaying became prominent within my design as a way to show hierarchy with imagery and type. This helped enhance the visual appeal to cater to those interested in graphic design since these are relatively popular within the trends of graphic design in 2022.
